Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
I really don't consider this a business. It is a labor of love. I began "sharing" with people in need as a very young child. I, quite frankly, became a legal, non-profit organization because many people would not donate items unless they could get a receipt for their taxes.
What is your primary product or service?
Amerindian provides support to Native Americans in the form of clothing, household items, educational items and whenever possible, assistance to students in the form of paying for extracurricular fees for social/sports activities, etc. and spiritual guidance when requested to do so. We do NOT provide outright financial assistance.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I am Cherokee and care about all people, and have a deep, ingrained love for Native Americans in particular.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am not in competition with anyone, so I am not concerned with any differences or logistics.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Wherever there is a need, God makes it known and then provides the resources. Amerindian is only a facilitator.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are not a physical location.
What type of payments do you accept?
Most people donate used items that they no longer want or need. Checks made out to Amerindian, Inc. would certainly be
welcomed to facilitate delivery of items to reservations or locals.
Which areas do you service?
Wherever there is a need, we attempt to fill that need.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Rev. Linda B. Gray
What are your hours of operation?
Constant
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
We are not interested in compliments.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
Isaiah 6:8
